Could an ancient chinese formula cut early leukemia deaths?

Summary
This study tests whether giving a Chinese herbal medicine called Realgar-Indigo naturalis formula (RIF) along with standard treatment right away can lower the risk of early death in people with a fast-growing blood cancer called acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL). About 224 adults with suspected APL will be randomly assigned to get either RIF plus standard drugs or standard drugs alone for the first week. The goal is to see if the early combo helps control bleeding and improves survival.
