Can early action tame hidden heart flutters?

NCT ID NCT07447297

First seen Mar 18, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study looks at whether starting treatment early for hidden atrial fibrillation (a type of irregular heartbeat) can reduce the amount of time the heart is in this rhythm. About 520 adults with heart devices that detect these hidden episodes will be split into two groups: one gets early rhythm control (medication, shock therapy, or a procedure), and the other gets usual care. The goal is to see if early treatment lowers the burden of atrial fibrillation and prevents it from becoming a full-blown condition.
