New therapy aims to stop childhood PTSD before it starts
NCT ID NCT07207018
Summary
This study is testing whether a short family-focused therapy can reduce early symptoms of post-traumatic stress in children and teens. It will involve 140 participants, aged 7 to 17, who experienced a traumatic event within the last three months. Researchers will compare the new therapy, which involves parents, to standard psychological support to see which is better at easing symptoms for both the child and their family.
