New shot aims to stop psoriasis in its tracks

Summary
This study is testing whether a medication called bimekizumab, given as injections, can better control early plaque psoriasis and delay it from becoming a chronic, recurring condition compared to standard topical steroid creams. It will involve 40 adults aged 18-45 who have had mild psoriasis for less than 6 months. Participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the bimekizumab injections or the topical treatment, and researchers will compare how well each controls the disease over 24 weeks.
