New breath test aims to spot lung damage before It's too late
NCT ID NCT05092035
Summary
This study tested a new, non-invasive breath analysis method to detect early structural damage in the lungs caused by diseases like COPD or Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD). The goal is to spot these changes earlier than current standard lung function tests can, potentially allowing for earlier treatment. The study involved 40 adults, including patients with these conditions and healthy individuals, who underwent detailed breathing measurements.
