New blood test could give doctors a head start against dangerous Post-Surgery infections

NCT ID NCT07248527

Summary

This study is testing a new blood measurement called ICIS to see if it can help doctors detect infections earlier in patients recovering from pancreas surgery. Researchers will track 400 patients using routine blood draws to see how well ICIS predicts infections compared to standard tests. The goal is to help patients get the right treatment faster, avoid unnecessary antibiotics, and have a safer recovery.
