NCT ID NCT02369406
First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated May 11, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study tests whether giving HIV medicines to infected babies within the first week of life can limit the amount of virus that hides in the body. Researchers hope this might allow children to take breaks from medication later on. The study involves 67 infants in Botswana and follows them to see how well the treatment works and if it is safe.
