Summary
This study looked at 141 people who had pancreatic surgery to remove tumors. Doctors wanted to see if taking out the surgical drains early (4 days after surgery) would lead to fewer infections compared to the usual practice of leaving drains in for 10-15 days. The goal was to find a safer way to manage recovery after this complex operation.
