Double shock strategy may boost cardiac arrest survival
NCT ID NCT06447805
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study tested whether giving two quick defibrillation shocks instead of one could help more people survive a cardiac arrest outside the hospital. Researchers enrolled 40 adults whose hearts were in a shockable rhythm and who did not respond to the first shock. The goal was to see if this approach is feasible and safe, and to guide a larger future study.
