Heart failure patients may go home sooner with new shot treatment

NCT ID NCT07018297

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study tests whether people with acute heart failure can safely go home early and receive a daily shot of furosemide instead of staying in the hospital for IV diuretics. About 250 adults will be randomly assigned to either early discharge with the shot or standard hospital care. The main goal is to see if both groups have similar numbers of days alive and out of the hospital within 30 days.
