NCT ID NCT06025123

First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated Apr 15, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study tests if starting cooling through the nose immediately after a cardiac arrest, followed by hospital cooling, helps more people survive with good brain function. It compares this approach to the current standard of keeping normal body temperature. The trial will include over 1,000 adults who suffer a cardiac arrest outside the hospital with a specific heart rhythm.
