Chilling for survival: can icy noses save hearts and minds?

NCT ID NCT06025123

Summary

This study tests if starting cooling treatment immediately at the scene of a cardiac arrest, using a special nasal device, helps people survive with better brain function. It compares this early cooling approach to the current standard of care, which maintains normal body temperature. The goal is to see if more patients are alive and fully recovered 90 days after their cardiac arrest.
