First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study follows 88 deaf or hard-of-hearing children who, as toddlers, were randomly assigned to receive a 6-month parent coaching program or standard care. Researchers want to see if the early coaching leads to better language, reading, and social skills when the children reach elementary school. Parents and children will do tests, surveys, and video chats from home.
