New ultrasound tech spots hidden artery damage in prediabetes

Summary
This study uses a special high-frequency ultrasound to look at the walls of arteries in people with prediabetes. The goal is to detect very early signs of blood vessel damage that standard tests might miss. Researchers will measure the thickness of artery layers in 1,740 adults to create normal values and understand how prediabetes affects arteries, which could help prevent heart disease and stroke.
