Summary

This large study is testing if changing the standard treatment order for cardiac arrest can save more lives. It will see if giving a medication called amiodarone one step earlier than current guidelines helps restore a normal heart rhythm faster. The goal is to improve survival and reduce brain damage for people whose hearts have stopped due to a specific dangerous rhythm.
