New heart risk score aims to catch dangerous rhythm disorder earlier

NCT ID NCT05898165

Summary

This study is testing a new method to find people at high risk for atrial fibrillation (AF), a common heart rhythm problem that can lead to stroke. It uses a computer-based risk score from health records to identify nearly 2,000 participants, who then receive remote heart monitoring. The goal is to see if this targeted approach finds more cases of AF than standard methods, so people can get preventive treatment sooner.
