Ear zaps may help stroke survivors eat and drink again

NCT ID NCT07428590

Summary

This study is testing whether gentle electrical stimulation of the ear can help stroke patients over 70 years old regain their ability to swallow safely. Participants will receive standard speech therapy combined with either a real or fake stimulation device for three weeks. Researchers will measure changes in swallowing function and quality of life to see if the ear stimulation provides extra benefit.
