Ear zaps may help stroke survivors find their words again

NCT ID NCT06403475

Summary

This pilot study is testing whether a safe, non-invasive earpiece that gently stimulates a nerve in the ear can boost the benefits of at-home speech therapy for people with long-term language problems after a stroke. The main goal is to see if this combined approach is practical and safe for participants to use on their own for six weeks. Researchers will also look for early signs of improvement in word-finding ability during conversations.
