Ear seed therapy trial targets Gut-Brain link to soothe chronic discomfort and sleeplessness
NCT ID NCT07442734
Summary
This study is testing if a non-drug therapy using gentle pressure on specific points of the ear can help people who have both chronic stomach discomfort (functional dyspepsia) and trouble sleeping. Researchers will enroll 176 participants to see if this approach safely reduces symptoms and improves quality of life. They will also use brain scans and other tests to try to understand how the treatment might work by influencing the connection between the gut and the brain.
