Ear zaps ease spine surgery pain?

NCT ID NCT07218133

Summary

This study is testing whether a gentle, non-invasive stimulation of the ear nerve can help control inflammation and pain after major spinal fusion surgery. Fifty patients undergoing long spinal fusions will be randomly assigned to receive either the real ear stimulation or a sham (fake) treatment alongside standard care. Researchers will measure pain levels, inflammation markers in the blood, blood sugar, and recovery complications to see if the stimulation improves healing.
