Ear stimulation trial offers hope for spinal cord injury heart risks
NCT ID NCT06588608
Summary
This small pilot study is testing whether gentle electrical stimulation of nerves in the ear is safe for people with chronic spinal cord injuries. Researchers want to see if this non-invasive stimulation might help improve heart health and blood sugar control, which are common concerns after such injuries. The study will enroll 16 participants to monitor for any side effects and see if they can complete the two-week treatment.
