Zapping the ear to calm the stomach: new hope for diabetes patients
NCT ID NCT06783504
Summary
This study is testing whether a small device that gently stimulates nerves near the ear can help reduce nausea, vomiting, and other stomach symptoms in people with diabetes. Researchers want to see if this stimulation affects the 'vagus nerve,' which controls stomach function. About 60 adults with diabetes and a diagnosed stomach-emptying problem will try the device to see if their symptoms improve.
