Zapping the ear to calm the brain after a stroke?

NCT ID NCT06918964

Summary

This study is testing whether a gentle electrical stimulation on the ear can help patients recover from a sudden brain bleed (hemorrhagic stroke). Researchers will give the stimulation to 186 patients shortly after their stroke to see if it reduces dangerous brain swelling. They will compare results between those who get the real treatment and those who get a fake version to check if it's safe and effective.
