Could a painless ear zap ease your aching back?
NCT ID NCT03959111
Summary
This study tested whether a gentle, non-invasive stimulation of a nerve in the ear could help reduce the intensity of chronic low back pain. Researchers enrolled 70 adults who had experienced back pain for over six months to try this treatment. The goal was to see if this approach could offer a new option for pain relief and potentially reduce the need for opioid painkillers.
