Can free E-Cigs help heavy smokers smoke less?
NCT ID NCT06472869
Summary
This small pilot study tested whether providing free e-cigarettes for 4 weeks could help heavy smokers who don't plan to quit reduce their cigarette smoking. Researchers enrolled 15 people who had previously tried to quit and gave them e-cigarettes to use instead of regular cigarettes. They measured whether participants smoked fewer cigarettes and tracked their interest in continuing with the study.
