Can E-Cigs help older smokers in addiction treatment cut back?

NCT ID NCT06534905

Summary

This small pilot study is testing whether providing e-cigarettes is a practical way to help adults aged 50 and older, who are in treatment for opioid addiction and currently smoke, switch from regular cigarettes. Participants are not trying to quit smoking. The study compares giving e-cigarettes to giving standard brief advice to quit, to see which approach is more acceptable and leads to less tobacco use.
