Can a simple training ease the heavy load for stroke caregivers?
NCT ID NCT07181629
Summary
This study tested whether a special training program for caregivers could help manage swallowing problems (dysphagia) in stroke patients receiving care at home. Researchers compared 84 caregivers who received the training to those who did not, measuring caregiver burden, patient nutrition, and quality of life over three months. The goal was to see if educating caregivers leads to better care and less stress.
