Scientists probe hidden heart risks in diabetic children
NCT ID NCT07455994
Summary
This study aims to understand how type 1 diabetes affects the nervous system's control of the heart in children. Researchers will compare 24-hour heart rate patterns in 100 children with diabetes against healthy children of the same age and sex. The goal is to see if longer diabetes duration correlates with more significant changes in how the nervous system regulates the heart.
