Clot size may predict leg damage after DVT

Summary
This study looks at 400 people who have had a first deep vein thrombosis (DVT) in their leg. Researchers want to see if the amount of clot seen on an ultrasound can predict who will develop post-thrombotic syndrome (PTS), a chronic condition causing pain, swelling, and skin changes. By measuring clot burden with a special score, they hope to identify high-risk patients early and guide better treatment to prevent PTS.
