New cocktail of drugs shows promise for tough lung cancer

Summary

This early-stage trial tests whether combining the immunotherapy durvalumab with other experimental drugs (danvatirsen, oleclumab) and/or chemotherapy can safely control stage IV non-small cell lung cancer. About 175 people who have not had prior treatment for metastatic disease will receive different drug combinations. The main goal is to check safety and see if tumors shrink.
