First seen Feb 18, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study tests if dupilumab, a drug already used for eczema and asthma, can help children ages 6 to 17 with moderate to severe alopecia areata regrow hair. About 76 kids will receive either dupilumab or a placebo for 48 weeks, then all can get the real drug for another 48 weeks. The main goal is to see if hair loss scores improve more with dupilumab than with placebo.
