First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests a dual-task training program for children aged 6-8 with unilateral cerebral palsy. About 70 participants will be split into two groups: one doing balance exercises while also performing fine motor tasks, and the other doing single-task exercises. The goal is to see if dual-task training leads to better improvements in balance and hand function compared to traditional methods.

What this could lead to
If it works, this could offer a safe, effective therapy to improve balance and hand function in children with unilateral cerebral palsy.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage trial with only 84 participants, so results may not apply to all children. The intervention is non-drug, so benefits may be modest.
