First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study tests whether a special type of tai ji quan that combines physical movement with mental tasks can reduce falls in older adults with mild cognitive impairment (MCI). Researchers will enroll 336 people aged 65 and older who have memory complaints and a history of falls or balance problems. Participants will practice dual-task tai ji quan and report any falls over time to see if the training helps them stay steady on their feet.
