New Double-Action PET tracer aims to sharpen cancer detection

NCT ID NCT07639801

First seen Jun 12, 2026 · Last updated Jun 15, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This early study will test a new type of PET scan that uses two targets (FAPI and PSMA) at once to find and stage solid tumors like prostate, liver, ovarian, and endometrial cancers. About 20 adults with suspected or confirmed tumors will get this new scan, and doctors will compare it to standard scans to see if it picks up more tumors or gives clearer images. The goal is to improve how accurately cancer is detected and staged, which could help guide treatment decisions.
