First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study is for head and neck cancer survivors who have dry mouth after radiation therapy. Researchers want to see if a non-invasive, acupuncture-like electrical nerve stimulation (called ALTENS) can help. About 75 adults who finished radiation at least 3 months ago and still have dry mouth will receive the treatment over 12 weeks. The main goal is to measure if their dry mouth symptoms improve using a special questionnaire.
