Eye comfort boost before lens surgery?
NCT ID NCT06483750
Summary
This study looked at whether using a special device called the Systane iLux system before cataract surgery could help improve dry eye symptoms caused by clogged oil glands in the eyelids. Researchers compared 25 patients who received the treatment two weeks before their surgery to 5 patients who did not. They measured changes in eye comfort, tear film stability, and gland function to see if the pre-surgery treatment made a difference.
