Scientists test new mental health drug's safety with common treatments

NCT ID NCT06729970

Summary

This early-stage study tested how a new schizophrenia drug called KarXT interacts with three common mood medications (lithium, valproic acid, and lamotrigine). Researchers gave healthy volunteers different combinations of these drugs to see how they affect each other in the body. The main goal was to understand potential drug interactions and safety before testing in patients.
