Botox vs. patches: new hope for kids with cerebral palsy drooling

NCT ID NCT03616067

Summary

This study aimed to find the better long-term treatment for drooling in children with cerebral palsy. It compared Botox injections into the salivary glands against scopolamine skin patches, with both groups also receiving standard rehabilitation therapy. The main goal was to see which approach improved children's quality of life more over 15 months by reducing the social and medical problems caused by drooling.
