First seen Jan 30, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study looked at whether drinking an energy drink before a planned C-section keeps women as warm as using a warming mattress. 302 pregnant women having a C-section took part. The goal was to see if the drinks are a good alternative to the mattress for preventing drops in body temperature during surgery.
