New disposable scope aims to improve bile duct stone removal and diagnosis
NCT ID NCT07120295
First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026
Summary
This study is testing a new, single-use scope called the Dragonfly™ Digital Pancreaticobiliary System. It is designed to help doctors see inside the bile and pancreatic ducts during an endoscopy. The study will enroll up to 75 adults with bile duct stones or narrowings (strictures) that are hard to treat with standard methods. The goal is to see if the scope can effectively break up stones and get good tissue samples for diagnosis.

- What this could lead to
- If successful, this could provide a more effective tool for diagnosing and treating bile duct stones and strictures during endoscopy.
