Can doulas help shield pregnant women from hidden chemical dangers?
NCT ID NCT06032143
Summary
This study is testing whether training doulas about endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs) found in everyday products like lotions and shampoos improves their knowledge. The trained doulas then counsel pregnant people on how to avoid these chemicals. Researchers will measure if the counseling leads to better knowledge, fewer chemical-containing products used, and lower levels of these chemicals in the pregnant participants' bodies.
