Summary
This study follows 300 adults who receive a temporary Double-J ureteral stent for routine urological reasons. Researchers will check the stent and urine for bacteria when the stent is removed, and look for links to factors like how long the stent was in place, diabetes, kidney disease, past infections, and antibiotic use. The goal is to better understand what raises the risk of bacterial colonization and whether it leads to infections or symptoms.
