New radiation plan for spine cancer aims to cut side effects

NCT ID NCT04802603

First seen Nov 17, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study tests a new way to deliver radiation to spine tumors that have spread from other cancers. Instead of the usual 1 or 2 high-dose sessions, the radiation is spread over 5 treatments to reduce side effects. The goal is to see if this approach is safe, tolerable, and helps relieve pain while improving quality of life. About 60 adults with spine metastases will take part.
