First seen Sep 30, 2025 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 38 times

Summary

This study looked at whether dolutegravir, a newer HIV drug, is safe and works well in pregnant women with untreated HIV. Sixty women in late pregnancy took either dolutegravir or standard HIV medicines. The goal was to see how the drug moves through the body and if it can better prevent passing HIV to the baby. The results help doctors choose the best treatment for mothers and their newborns.
