Could therapy dogs help people with epilepsy feel better?
NCT ID NCT06898749
Summary
This study is testing whether adding therapy dogs to standard psychomotor therapy sessions can improve quality of life for adults with difficult-to-treat epilepsy. Researchers will enroll 76 adults who are already receiving therapy for emotional or movement challenges. They will measure if 10 sessions with specially trained dogs lead to better emotional management, less anxiety, and potentially fewer seizures.
