New study: does keyhole surgery through the vagina protect fertility better?
NCT ID NCT07177144
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looked at 46 women who chose to have their fallopian tubes removed for permanent birth control. Researchers compared two surgical methods: one through the belly button and one through the vagina. They measured a hormone called AMH before and after surgery to see if either method better protected the ovaries. The goal was to find out which technique is safer for future fertility.
