New MET inhibitor DO-2 enters human trials for Hard-to-Treat cancers

NCT ID NCT05752552

First seen Apr 07, 2026 · Last updated Jun 21, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This early-stage study is testing a new drug called DO-2 in people with advanced solid tumors (like lung cancer) that have a specific genetic change (MET mutation) and have run out of standard treatments. The main goal is to check the drug's safety and how the body processes it. About 55 participants will take DO-2 pills, and researchers will monitor side effects and any tumor shrinkage.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance

DO-2 (a MET kinase inhibitor)

What this could lead to

If successful, this could lead to a new treatment option for patients with advanced solid tumors that have specific MET mutations.

What could go wrong

This is an early Phase 1 trial with only 55 participants, so it is primarily testing safety and dosing. It may not show strong anti-tumor effects, and side effects are unknown.

Conditions

The condition(s) this trial relates to.

hereditary papillary renal cell carcinoma lung cancer lung neoplasm neoplasm non-small cell lung carcinoma refractory malignant neoplasm

As listed by the trial registrant

The condition terms exactly as the trial's registrant entered them.
