First seen Jan 31, 2026 · Last updated May 10, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study tested three simple, drug-free ways to manage pain after knee replacement surgery: using a virtual reality headset, squeezing a squishy toy, or listening to poetry. 140 adults took part, and their pain levels were measured 24 hours after surgery. The goal was to see if these distraction methods could help people feel better without extra medication.
