New drug aims to free blood cancer patients from transfusions

Summary
This study is testing an experimental drug called DISC-0974 in people with myelofibrosis or myelodysplastic syndrome who have anemia. The main goals are to see if the drug is safe and if it can help improve red blood cell counts, potentially reducing or eliminating the need for blood transfusions. The trial will enroll about 150 adults and is currently recruiting participants.
