Stroke care shortcut: direct to Angio-Suite may boost recovery
NCT ID NCT03969511
First seen Apr 18, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study tested whether people with a severe stroke do better if they are taken directly to the procedure room instead of first going to the radiology department. The goal was to see if faster treatment leads to more patients being independent three months later. The trial involved 120 adults aged 18 to 85 with severe stroke symptoms and was stopped early, but the results could help improve stroke care.
